Qi Gong & Kung Fu with Matthew August
We gather as a community to cultivate mindfulness, resilience, compassion, and radical self-love.
Class Structure
Qi Gong 5:30-6:20 pm
Unifying movement, breath, and visualization Qi-Gong is a series of exercises to cultivate life force energy in the body. It is like physical therapy for the energy system. Increase vitality; improve posture; generate confidence; improve well-being and experience centeredness. Beginners welcome.
Kung Fu 6:30-8 pm
Fut Sao Buddha Hand Wing Chun is a traditional martial art with modern-day applications emphasizing economy of motion.
Cultivate mind-body connection and develop spiritual & mental control.
Benefits include self-defense skills, better health, longevity, activating the parasympathetic nervous system, and help with PTSD.
Each class will include stretching, structural principles, punching and kicking drills, sensitivity partner training, and light sparring in a friendly controlled environment. Beginners Welcome.
