Divine Play: Mendocino Wellness & Nature Retreat

2022/07/06 22:43:32

Rejuvenate, re-divine, connect with nature for four nights and five days in the pristine beauty of Mendocino

Rejuvenate, re-divine, connect with nature for four nights and five days in the pristine beauty of Mendocino. Nestled between the eco-systems of coastal redwoods and oak chaparel on unceded Pomo land, River’s Bend Retreat Center is a refuge for rest, play, and building community. We will have the entire 10 acres to ourselves with ample time to swim or lounge by the Navarro River and explore the hiking trails into the redwoods.

Dive deep into the Yoga tradition with Asana (physical Yoga postures), meditation, pranayama, mantra, stories, and discussion for connection and deep soul growth. There will be Yoga asanas offered for all levels of experience: Vinyasa, Hatha and Restorative Yoga. Afternoons will include free time and optional excursions to hiking, wineries, ocean kayaking, and nearby beaches.

Nourish yourself with exquisite farm-to-table meals from renowned chef Redwood Hill.

This retreat is for all people who identify as anti-racist. For white folks this means you have experience analyzing your privilege, working to dismantle/confront white supremacy, and acting as an ally to BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and other people of color) folks. Our intention is to welcome and celebrate folks from different experiences, 16+ in age, religions, abilities, immigration statuses, sizes, and sexual orientations. We will co-create community agreements to embody this intention. No Yoga experience necessary. Satya teaches in a radically inclusive way with an emphasis on therapeutics, alignment, and preventing injury.

Mornings

Mornings will include gentle or moderate to vigorous Hatha Flow practice, meditation, discussion, and dance.

Afternoons

Afternoons will include free time to soak in the serenity of nature, take a dip in the lake or organized excursions to hiking, kayaking, and breathtaking views.

Evenings

Evenings may include meditation, gentle Yoga, and community building. Private and group therapy sessions are available with Tiha Baker to support healing and post traumatic growth.
